Pennsylvania Lottery Extends The Wizard of Oz™ Second-Chance Game, Offers Extra $50,000 Prize Introduced on March 24, The Wizard of Oz™ is a $10 game that offers 10 top prizes of $300,000. “This instant game has been a big hit with players since launching in March, so we decided to keep the fun going into the summer,” said Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. The original second-chance entry deadline is June 11, and the randomly-selected winner of the first $50,000 prize will be announced June 17. All entries submitted for the first drawing will carry over into the newly-added second drawing, for which the entry deadline is Aug. 27. The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery that designates all its proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since its inception in 1971, the Pennsylvania Lottery has contributed more than $24.7 billion to programs that include property tax and rent rebates; free transit and reduced-fare shared rides; the low-cost prescription drug programs PACE and PACENET; long-term living services; and the 52 Area Agencies on Aging, including full- and part-time senior centers throughout the state.
