American_brewing_courageNew beer from American Brewing in the Comicon series  On Friday, November 7th, American Brewing Company is releasing COURAGE American Wheat Ale the second specialty beer in our “Comicon Series”. Our first release was in 2013 for that year’s Emerald City Comicon Convention and was our Flying Monkey Pale Ale.  Originally brewed for a limited, one time release, the Flying Monkey Pale Ale has gone on to become a year round offering on draft, 22 oz bottles and most recently in 12 oz cans. This year’s release will be in conjunction with the Jet City Comic Show which runs Saturday, November 8th in Tacoma at the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center.

Wizard of Oz themed weekend at Lichfield’s St Mary’s in the Market Square Ever wanted to sing songs from Wicked? Want to learn the repertoire from this fantastic West End show? A Return to Oz workshop masterclass is taking place at St Mary’s on Sunday November 30 with West End performer Katie Kerr and Ingestre Hall arts director Richard Poynton. Those joining the masterclass will be given an exclusive insight into the magic of musical theatre. During the four hour workshop they will work on dance, singing and scene selections from Wicked There will be three workshops on the Sunday; 9.30am-1.30pm for those aged 11-18; 2.30pm to 6.30pm for 11-18s and there is an adult workshop for over 18s from 7pm to 10pm. There are limited spaces on each session. The cost is £20 and tickets are available from Tourist Information.

Help Bring ‘The Battle Of Oz’ To Life! ‘The Battle For Oz’ is a new spin-off novel where when the great world of Oz is taken over by a new queen from a foreign land, Dorothy Gale is summoned in hopes that she would save Oz once again. Unfortunately, Dorothy soon discovers that she is no match for this vicious intruder. Forced to uncover the truth, Dorothy has to travel through worlds to find the one the new queen fears. Only then, will Oz stand a chance at defeating this immortal enemy. Writen by Jeyna Grace, ‘The Battle for Oz’ is still in development and needs funds to complete the project. A crowd-funding initiative however has been started for the project at Inkshares.
