Annual Festival Takes Place at Abandoned ‘Wizard of Oz’ Theme Park This weekend (October 5th & 6th) marks the 20th anniversary of “Autumn at Oz,” which began as an annual gathering of former patrons and park employees to reminisce about its glory days. The festival has grown in size each year, and is actually sanctioned by the property’s owners, who restored much of the park in the ’90s. Money raised at the event goes toward further preservation. Find out more about Autumn at Oz – including more history and images of the park – at Emerald Mountain.
