The traditional architecture brings that wonderful Hamptons, East Coast feel to Los Angeles.”

Lloyd Webber on The Wizard of Oz, Over the Rainbow – and Avril Lavigne  On what’s missing from Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg’s original score for The Wizard of Oz: “There’s nothing for Dorothy – she’s supposed to be this feisty little girl who wants to get out of Kansas and we don’t have anything that suggests [this].”  On Avril Lavigne as his ideal Dorothy: “She would be good. Very, very good.”

Tams-Witmark Releases Condensed Wizard of Oz for Kid Performers  iTheatrics founder and CEO Timothy Allen McDonald collaborated with Deena R. Harburg on the adaptation. The new version includes a production guide for directors, a sing-along recording for rehearsal, a recording of the performance music and a choreography DVD.
