First Look at Bernadette Peters’ ‘Glinda’ in DOROTHY OF OZ!  “‘Glinda’ and I have the same heart and soul,'” she said during a recent EPK shoot in Los Angeles. She even joked, “Her hair has a mind of its own like mine!” Peters will sing a duet on the film’s soundtrack with “Glee’s” Lea Michele who stars as “Dorothy.” Peters recently guest starred in NBC’s hit series “Smash,” as the mother of Megan Hilty, the show’s co-star as well as the film’s “China Princess.” Hilty, who is no stranger to Oz, also played “Glinda” on Broadway’s “Wicked.”

E! developing ‘Wizard of Oz’-inspired TV show  “Inspired by the book Dorothy and The Wizard of Oz, a girl from Kansas City falls for a man and moves with him to the Emerald City to work at his Emerald Hotel. From writer Natalie Krinsky (Gossip Girl, Grey’s Anatomy) and Warner Horizon Television.”

Ballet Troupe’s ‘Wizard of Oz’ Brings Magic, Munchkins, Monkeys  Although the ballet is based on L. Frank Baum’s original children’s novel and will use a classical score rather than the famed movie soundtrack, MBC Artistic Director Amber Megna-Michalik promises that her company’s production will be every bit as magical as the iconic 1939 film.

Judy Garland’s former Bel-Air home sells for $6,772,669  Her Kansas home in “The Wizard of Oz” flew through the air. Now a Bel-Air house that was home to a young Judy Garland has flipped, selling for the second time since last year for $6,772,669. The Wallace Neff-designed house sold in 2011 for $5.2 million and was then updated and renovated. The two-story traditional, built in 1938, sits on about 2.5 acres. The 5,513-square-foot house features dormer and bay windows, white columns, French doors, five bedrooms and 61/2 bathrooms. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool and a detached studio.
